Strawberry dress still needs its buckle; I just ordered one (well, two) on Etsy, but I'll have to cover it when it arrives as it's black and the buckle OBVIOUSLY should be red. Or white at least. I couldn't find either color in the right size so had to settle for black, y' see.

I bought way too many patterns in the last two days. Good thing there aren't any recently released costume or vintage ones, is all I can say! 

I wasn't expecting to be completely wowed, but it was even less great than I thought. They basically lifted scenes out of the old animated movie without the dialogue or whatever to explain what the HELL was going on, so if you hadn't seen the original I imagine you'd be rather perplexed, over and over and over again. So we went to Belvidere (and went fabric-shopping). There was a fashion show, and funnel cake, and I bought too much jewelry - oops? - and two bolts of silk for $40 - oops? I was a bit warm in my wool from time to time, but the weather was JUST this side of Not Way Too Hot. I did get a bit sweaty under my layers, but I wore a nice thick wool jacket ( Read more... )
